Why can Solar N Plus’s modules stand up to snow and cold?

As winter sets in, snowy weather—especially heavy snowstorms—poses real challenges for solar modules. Extreme cold, thick snow, and reduced sunlight can cause glass embrittlement, encapsulation damage, or cracking. However, Solar N Plus modules are not affected by these issues.

Why can our modules stand up to snow and cold?

1. In winter, shorter daylight hours reduce peak noon solar irradiance to about 60%–70% of summer levels. With superior low irradiance performance, our modules maintain high power output even under weak sunlight or cloudy winter conditions, ensuring stable and reliable energy generation.

2. Excessive snow load can place mechanical stress on PV modules, potentially causing glass cracking or cell microcracks in extreme conditions. Designed with a mechanical load capacity of 5400Pa (front) / 2400Pa (rear), our modules can withstand heavy snow accumulation and strong winds, ensuring long-term structural safety.

As the Extreme Cold Performance Award Winner, Solar N Plus modules maintained an intact appearance, stable mechanical structure, and no significant power degradation in Mohe, China’s coldest region.

Winter may be harsh, but our power never backs down. ❄️☀️
